Is this a good option for a well to do couple?
Answers：My mom just entered WC. Go in and speak to the Marketing Department. We used a plan that puts a lot of money up front but we will get back approximately 90% when mom is gone. We are basically shareholders in WC. She's in a studio. Be aware that the rent you pay for your entry unit will be the amount you pay monthly for Assisted Living and further into the Hoy Center. The smaller the initial unit, the less you are permanently paying. Mom was very concerned about the inheritance we would have... So she's very comfortable with that decision. Call to make an appointment and go in to check it out. She moved from a large condo a block away with an AWESOME bay view and we waited for a unit with an AWESOME bay view. But it is important that you pass all the physical and mental tests to get in. Mom is 83 and physically walking unassisted. She passed the MOCA mental test with flying colors. But if there's any issue it is better to take the tests and get in sooner than later... Good luck!!! |
